We are talk'in kitchens again today! At some point in time we all get the itch to remodel our kitchens. I actually think the number $21,695 for an average cost is low, really low, unless you have a 10x10 or galley kitchen. Jeff Lewis of Bravo's Flipping Out presents a great option for a "Kitchen Makeover" let's call it. I really love this idea especially for people who want to move in the next 5 years.

But by making smart additions, like a very functional kitchen island ($200), and relying on cosmetic changes (counter tops and a new coat of paint), Lewis was able to revamp his outdated kitchen for under $5,000.
